My pet doesn't like its new kibble, what can I do ?Updated a year ago

It happens that some furries sulk our kibbles 😢

The furry ones are often difficult and very demanding in terms of their food, before returning the product I recommend you to follow the following tips.

1/ Choose the right size of kibbles

It is important to choose the right size of kibble for your pet, otherwise it could lead to digestive problems, especially soft stools. Indeed, it is preferable that the kibbles are a little bigger in order to force the furry to chew its food before swallowing it.Ā

At Franklin we offer 3 sizes of dog food:

Puppy kibbles are 8 mm in diameter

The adult dog food in 2.5kg, 6kg, 12kg are 12mm in diameter

The adult dog food in 15kg is 18mm in diameter

For cats, we offer two sizes:

Kitten croquettes are 8 mm in diameter

The adult cat food is 10mm in diameter

2/ Making a dietary transition with his old kibbles

In order not to disturb the transit of our young companions, you have to make a transition between his old and new Franklin kibbles. This transition can last 1 week (of course you can adapt the duration according to the sensitivity of your pet).Ā

To help you, follow these steps:Ā

3/ Add fish oil 🐟 or hemp oil 🌿

To help your furry to eat his new kibbles, you can add fish oil (or salmon oil) or hemp oil to make the kibbles more palatable. The smell will attract your companion to his bowl and your furry will eventually get used to his new 100% Franklin kibbles šŸ˜‰

4/ Opt for our kibbles for sensitive cats/dogsĀ

If after even all his tips your furry still doesn't like his new kibble recipe, turn to our range of sensitive kibbles. These recipes are mono-animal-protein and specially designed for intolerant cats/dogs.Ā
